Headache
What is a headache?
It is one of the most common pains. Headaches must be differentiated into acute and chronic; primary and secondary.
The most common chronic primary headaches are:

Tension headaches
-
Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD)

Trigeminal nerve neuralgia

Syndromes
The pains can be:
-
Retro ocular pressure or tension
-
Pain in the nape or neck
-
Pain, stiffness or contracture in the neck area

Worse in the afternoon
-
Get relief with rest
-
Calm with the use of pain relievers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen
Acute pains are those that occur alone, without a history,
and will not be discussed in this section.
Secondary pains are those that occur as a consequence of another problem
and will not be discussed in this section.
